HOW DO I GET SIGNED UP?
To sign up please email or call us and let us know your availability, and we will try and find a regular day and time every week.
DAYS AND TIMES OF THE WEEK YOU OFFER LESSONS?
We offer lessons Monday-Friday. We can start as early as 7:00 am and offer lessons on evenings up to 7:00 pm. To find the best reoccurring slot for you, please email or call us. Emails and calls will be returned within 48 hours during the business week and within 72 hours if contacted on the weekend. You are also welcome to text.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT?
No, but we do ask you pay in advance for your first lesson. If the lesson goes well, we will ask for payment for the month or session.
WHAT LENGTH OF LESSON DO YOU RECOMMEND AND HOW FREQUENTLY?
For kids 18 months -3 years of age, 10-12 minutes. Children 4-6, 15 or 20 minutes and over 6, 30 minutes. Lessons are once a week. We all learn best with practice, so if you can make it to a pool for fun time, this will help with the learning process.
DO PARENTS GET IN THE POOL?
No, because it is all one-on-one, private instruction. We want to create a bond and relationship with your child.
CAN I WATCH THE LESSONS?
Of course!
WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE ANOTHER CHILD WITH ME?
They can sit and watch the lesson or read one of our children's books or play with our toys.
DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS AVAILABLE?
We don't have a shower available. With low chlorine levels the swimmer will not come out smelling like a pool! We do have a large private restroom available for changing.
DO YOU ALLOW MAKE-UPS?
Make-ups are not 100% guaranteed, but we will try and find a time if possible. If sessions are consistently missed, we will discuss changing your swim time/day as make-ups are not be used to create a schedule that is flexible for you.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING WITH US FOR LESSONS?
All you need is a swim suit and towel. Goggles are not necessary at first, but feel free to bring if you like. Children who are not potty trained are required to wear a swim diaper with a swim suit over the diaper. We have a restroom for changing if needed.
TYPE OF FACILITY?
Aqua Star Swim Lessons currently operates out of the private home of our Founder. We own an indoor Endless Pool. The pool is 7'x13', standing water depth is 42". If appropriate, a current can be run through the pool for stroke work and for those who are ready to swim more than just a few feet on their own. The pool may be accessed through a private gate and private pool entrance. We will provide full directions when you register for your lesson.
